Well, as every section has it's own set of rules, so does the Tipsy Moogle. Here, you will find free-form roleplay, where. anyone can join and bring their cards to the table, unless they're a disrupting it for reasons outside the RP. Here's a breakdown of the rules:
1.) When joining a roleplay, make your entrance a bit believable. While this is a free-for-all type area, don't say "I fLeW in frum teh sky wiff my BOwing 747!!!!11." While that would be cool, It doesn't fit in with Final Fantasy 9.
2.) Please do not play unfairly. If you play online games, you'll know what a "Hax0r" is; for those of us who don't, A Hax0r is a person who cheats using cheats that give god-like qualities, such as the auto-aim hax in Counterstrike. Again, this is free-form, but remember, everyone has limits.
3.) Don't bring in outside quarrels to the RP. pleasePleasePLEASE don't start a conflict with no reason. If your character is the nasty, quarrelsome type, then you have a reason. If there is something started just because of a problem ==>OUTSIDE THE RP<==, this isn't exactly the place to bring that up.
4.) PG-13, okay? You've seen it everywhere. No explicitly sexual situations. Hugging and Kissing is okay. Frenching is borderline. Straight-out yiff(intercourse) will be deleted on sight. However, It's okay if you were to say, "char1 and char2 retreated to their room for the night to enjoy their alone time." That's it. no more. Anything else will be killed on sight.
5.) RP respectfully. Yes, It is free for all, but that doesn't mean your char automatically knows the motives of another. That's just being a noob. If you have knowledge about what another member wants to head in the rp, don't share that and bring it to the RP. If you made a guess out of the blue, and for some reason you're right, good for you. Nice guess.
6.) About that timeline thing, it's not bad if your char is this brilliant mechanic that somehow created the prototype pistol or some other type of modern-day item. But, We don't expect Ah-nuld to jump out and yell "Ahr-P-G! GIT DOWHN!"
8.) Don't godmod. You can't really make another character do anything; you can only post actions your characters undertake. For instance:
Bob slashed at Joe's throat with his sword...
... is fine. However:
Bob chopped off Joe's head...
... is not fine, because Joe's player has probably not consented to having Joe's head chopped off. Just state what your character is trying to do and how they're trying to do it, and let the other player say what happens. But don't take this as a carte blanche to have your character never get hit, or never have anything bad happen to them; other players will call you on it, and if they're really upset, they'll call a mod on it. Generally, it's best to talk with the other player and work things out amongst yourselves; remember, it's a game! Be willing to compromise, and above all, have fun!
If this does happen, you'll need the consent of the character's player, okay?
Well, those are the basic guidelines for the Tipsy Moogle. Join in on an RP, or create your own--just have a blast!
