Benargenarganarty. Tales of my e-death are slightly exaggerated. A mere hibernation. When you find out where to get a flying car, please inform me. I wish to have one. For now, a joke. What kind of car do pirates drive? ... ... ... a Yaaaaaaarrrrris! After putting four years and 80,000 miles / 126,000km (for a total of ten years old with 181,000 miles/ 289,600km) on my trusty '01 Camry, I traded it in and bought an '07 white Toyota Yaris hatchback. Needs new tires, an alignment, and gotta rewire the brights (previous owner did it with cheap wire crimps), but it's a lovely vehicle with only 82k miles on it. Delightful to drive, too. Always wanted a hatchback. Doesn't feel like a small car, either, and is quite stable. I didn't notice its low-profile tires were only half-inflated (44psi max means I put 40psi in...these were at 22psi) except the one that was flat cuz it had a nail in it...and the alignment is bad, /and/ I don't get to do much highway driving (and when I do, it's not often at highway speed. Dumb traffic). But in spite of these worst-case conditions, I still got 32.2mpg on my first tank. I suspect that once I fix everything and ensure it's all tuned correctly, I'll be pushing 40. Not bad, especially since it seems every class is getting more powerful, less efficient engines. Modern subcompacts have the engines of compacts of 10 years ago, and modern compacts have four-cylinder engines whose output meets or exceeds the output of four-cylinder mid-size sedans of ten years ago. My Yaris has an engine that puts out as much power as a 2001 Honda Civic DX/LX, but is considerably more efficient and the car is lighter. Funny that the Yaris is actually faster, more agile, and more efficient than my old Camry Not quite as comfy, though. More comfy than my old Chevy Prizm was (and more efficient - I got 32mpg out of that thing on a good day). Also, nice on the 40mpg. Is that an Aspire?

Well, this is... disappointing. No replies for over a week, and I didn't even get any responses from that quiz I posted a few weeks back.
What's up with you guys?

I just watched the end of Portal 2. (I had to leave my copy behind when I moved out*.) I nearly fell over when I saw how you defeat You-Know-Who. (Won't spoil it for those who haven't played yet.)
*24 hour bus ride. -.-
