Hello Eternal Rain crew...
wow, I can't believe this place is still alive; I literally just googled old screen names I used to run with, found posts on this website, and hazard a guess at my password XD
Well, I'm still a HUGE burmecian/FF9 enthusiast.
Since I last posted I went to and graduated from engineering school studying electrical engineering, found a job, and before any of that, transitioned to a woman! lol, very eventful few years.
Currently spend my days studying (returning to school in fall to get masters in EE), programming stupid little games for kicks, drawing, and hanging out with my boyfriend.
*sigh* maybe one day we burmecian fanatics will find the power to join ourselves more permanently; maybe a Steam group?
whatever; Maybe my next post won't be seven years from now XD

Wow. There's a name I haven't seen in a while. Good to see you're still alive. Alot went on while you were gone. or to be more accurate, not alot's been happening lately. Most of the peeps here moved onto Dec's newest burmecian playpen Roer4: forums.eternalrain.org/Unfortunatly that place is a bit dead, just like here a bit. XD. Ahhh a steam group for us. Man, that'd be so hella kick ass. I tried to find a Final Fantasy 9 group on steam, couldn't find any that's particularly interesting or lively. Now if only FF9 could get a remake, that could get everything moving again... Anyways, wb, and I would like to congratulate you on your accomplishments and to your transition. (What you should've done is transition to a burmecian, WHY DIDN'T YOU THINK OF THAT!?) I hope it makes you as happy as you have wanted!

Believe me, if 'Burmecian' were in the mix you can bet I'd be freya'ing this very second! That said, yes I am very happy this has been something I've known since I was five and pursued the SECOND I was legally able to! lol Sad the community dwindles, but good lord aren't we a devoted bunch? A remake would indeed be just the breath of life this community needs

Welcome back Barcodey! We certainly are a devoted bunch, but not quite as determined as I am to end the world of the Mew menace! This place could use a breath of life, but the first step is to have Burmecian fans like you visiting the place. The second step is to create posticles! Post all of things, including the age old discussion of how Freya picks her nose!

Good to hear! How old were you when you started? I just thought of something, you use steam? Woo, we should play vidya sometime! And you draw too? Working on anything at the moment? What does purple taste like? Sorry for the rush of questions.

Robshi I'll see if I can't come up with something Burmecian related to post about; it has been 15 years since FFIX and still when I think "coolest fantasy race ever" my mind immediately goes to Burmecians. How could they come up with a creation as awesome as the burmecians and only use them ONCE?!?! (if they have used them in recent years I apologize; I stopped following after 12ish) @m&M&M I actually started when I was 16, but was self-medding WHICH IS A GIGANTIC NO NO; that said.... I'm glad I did lol. Made things WAY easier down the line, and began 'officially' with an endocrinologist at 18. Feel free to look me up/add me on steam! My name is venuseatflytrap (don't ask; much like my name here it has no deep meaning XD. Of course anyone reading can feel free to add me!!!). I was an art student before going into engineering and did commissions for a living, but nothing exciting and nothing I'm proud of (and I HATED it because it turned my hobby into a job ;- Now I draw primarily fantasy themed stuff (a lot of dragons, and naturally the rat-human-heavily-burmecian-inspired creature pops in with startling regularity). Finally: Purple tastes a lot like blue, but with a red aftertaste.

No, alas, the race hasn't been used since FF9, truly our greatest disappointment in mankind history T_T. And 15 years?! GOD I feel old...I BLAME YOU FOR THIS!!!
I do take notice of any other rat-like race in gaming and other areas. Like the nezumis in Magic The Gathering, Robshi can vouch for me on that...maybe. All the others tend to be put in the 'evil' spotlight, so sad. Again, I blame you. And Robshi.
Also where'd you get that avatar? I want it!

Yeah, there are certainly nezumi in Magic the Gathering. I rather like to collect rat focused Magic cards thanks to Burmecians. Also, that nezumi in your avatar looks very deadly. No wonder Meepy wants it... it looks like it could eat Mews for breakfast.

Haha, actually this avatar is from another favorite rat-themed race: warhammer's skaven!!
I really dug warhammer back when I first joined this site, and Skaven were (and ARE) my favorite fantasy army.
I've been acquainted with the rat people from magic (and the cards I've seen are AWESOME) by other burmecian enthusiasts (I legitimately have just run into others)
