After spending six years following my graduation from uni hunting down paid work, I've been sacked from my first job after three months in the most cruel and harsh manner. I swear there's some diabolical force that does not want me to have any career. I spoke to Citizens Advice yesterday and they agreed that I'd been treated unfairly, so I've followed their advice and wrote a letter of appeal. I honestly have no idea what to expect from it, and I just hope I can move into another job quickly and put this mess behind me.

Oh geez, that sucks :/ I do hope you take this to court, cause honestly that's just a dickish thing to do.
Hope you're able to sort out another job soon!

I got a new job! I received a phone call out of the blue from an accounting firm who had interviewed me twice previously for a position. They said they had an unexpected vacancy come up and wanted to offer me the job! I start work at the beginning of next month.

Okay, a little update. I've now had six jobs so far, none of which have lasted long either due to them being temporary contract in nature, or plain bad luck with the company making me redundant following Covid hitting their office hard. Let's hope lucky number 7 is a more permanent position.
