Shiva shrugged to herself after leaving the Faltering Chocobo. Too bad nothing came of my conversation with that guy in the tavern - he seemed kinda interesting. Wonder what he was hiding? Eh, well. Time to move on. With her hood up and her spear slung on her back, she idly wandered down the street, looking around and trying to figure out what to do next.

At that very moment, a swarm of Burmecian children fled - screaming their furry little heads off - from an alleyway in front of the wolf. Behind them came a massive, hulking figure in an equally large brown hooded cloak. The hood was up and the figure's arms were within the cloak, so his species wasn't immediately apparent.
And, though his words were harmless, his voice was as maleficent and deep as he was large - fully seven feet tall, and more than half that broad. "But, children! I wish only to return your . . ." With that, he stopped chasing after them. His shoulders slumped and he sighed, lobbing a small rubber ball after the fleeing kids. "Why do I bother . . .?"
He paused on his way back into the alley, noticing the wolf for the first time. Face still heavily shadowed by the hood, he mumbled, "Because . . . because I am a fool." Apparently doubting the wolf would speak to him, he turned to face the alley again and returned to the darkness.
(OOC: I know this is a little bit silly, but there is a method to my madness: it'll be a lot of fun to play him and Shiva off each other. =P )
