Hay gize, why not do a live action movie version of The Raccoons too while you're at it! I'm sure it'll be a huge hit with today's young generation, just like this and Garfield! :D Yeah. My sentiments exactly. Discuss.

Oh my god. Are they going to cheapen something else after this? How come they are remaing this as a film? Leave it as a cartoon. It's better that way. Still whats the story line? No doubt it's half baked and simple for todays idiot "gangsta" kids. Still the only question I have is why?

Hey hey hey! Someone is just trying to keep them relevent in a time when their previous incarnations are little more than jokes 'mongst their target audience. . . . What a horrible idea.

They're doing this because they don't have the imagination to create a good, original movie and they want the money and publicity and stuff.
Come on, Kingdom Hearts does a far better job of reviving the chipmunks than this will!

I swear to God above, if they ruin the Chipmunks with gangsta crap, I will be pissed beyond belief.
Hopefully the upcoming Speed Racer movie will be awesome enough to make up for this.

All I see is down to the guy's eyes, and "Here Comes Trouble", I get the mental image of a live action Pokemon movie... The picture seems to be broken for me.

Come on, Kingdom Hearts does a far better job of reviving the chipmunks than this will! Wrong Chipmunks, those two are Chip and Dale, probably from the Rescue Rangers due to the fedora sometimes seen in the background and the fact that they speak whereas in the original they didn't... what? I grew up with that show!

They were the wrong chipmunks, but it was still a good revival anyway.
A DVD release of the original cartoons of Alvin and the Chipmunks would be more welcome than this.

Let's talk about movies being made twenty years too late. EDIT: I guess Proboards hates double quotes. It's fixed.

Hollywood seems to be lacking ideas a LOT lately. Wish they'd stop remaking all these old shows and make something we HAVEN'T seen before. Not take a wonderful idea, rip it apart fill it with crap and then merchandise and commercialise it to hell and back O-o
I'm dreading seeing Transformers in a few weeks =P
Thouhg a chipmunks movie D: argh.

Actually, Transformers was awesome. Just saw it. Totally worth the money.
I'm also looking forward to next year's Speed Racer movie.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW Hollywood got THAT bad? Was Eisner ever this bad? He green-lighted a sequel to the The Hunchback of Notre Dame, but even that did not make me throw up a little in my mouth when I saw that Underdog poster.
Just today I heard a rumor that New Line fired Peter Jackson from whatever project of The Hobbit there is. The idea of it is just dreadful.
Now, looking at those chipmunks, it's obviously ANOTHER CGI movie. Want a real horror story? Dreamworks is in preproduction for Shrek 5.

GOOD LORD ABOVE! Why can't they just end it with Shrek the Third {which also really sucked}?!

Apparently, the Chipmunks movie is being directed by the director of the Garfield movies, so now we know it's gonna bomb.
