Just so you know, it's probably not a good idea to get technical with me over the exact genetic structure of Sir Frato's head. If you think figuring out the genetics of a Burmecian is tough, just try to figure out the genetics of a Burmecian-Human hybrid!

Oni, are you trying to suggest the Burmecians are no more natural than Black Mages or something? I highly doubt that's the case. And do you really have to go and suggest something like that animals aren't at all sentient?
I mean, who really cares what their head shape is? Does that somehow prove how senitent or intelligent the {fictional} Burmecians can or can't be?
And this is a BIG peeve of mine--it's FOX MCCLOUD. Star Fox is his team's name. Not his own name. I see this mistake everywhere, and it really kinda bugs me.

AJ, the shocking truth is that all characters in Final Fantasy IX were originally designed by a company called Squaresoft. This means they have all been manufactured and are all artificial.
All characters in FFIX are not drawn to exact human proportions. Even the human characters have manga-like designs.
Yet FFIX is colourful, logical, has an interesting plot, an easy to learn ability system and has many other reasons why we really like the game.
Also, my only experience with Fox McCloud is in Super Smash Bros. Melee. You can also play as Falco Lombardi by some strange coincidence. Add Slippy to the mix and you get the Star Fox team!

Rob, the shocking truth is that I'm not remarkably stupid. {Last time I checked, I actually mentioned that they're fictional in my second sentence in that post, and I'm sure you know I was talking about the in-game universe.}
And were you agreeing with me after that remark, or not? I couldn't tell.
On another note, Falco being in Melee wasn't what one would call coincidence. It was planned, which is quite the opposite.

AJ, you're not stupid and yes, I was agreeing with you.

I've had quite a few theories about this myself.
My most prominent one was looking at the geography of the area, Burmecia itself is surrounded by mountains possibly tall enough to trap the clouds, and the Cleyran Desert to the west is confining with the swirling winds, or perhaps its a high pressure zone. The swirling of the Cleyran winds or pressure due to the heat could create a swirling weather pattern over Burmecia itself, trapping the weather above Burmecia. As the rain falls it travels down an extensive river system back into the ocean. The ocean contributes water thru evaporation, and the cycle repeats.
