I have always been a fan of Final Fantasy games, but when my friend first introduced me to Final Fantasy IX, he was about 3/4 through the first disc. As soon as I saw Freya, she was a favorite. Still about halfway through the 3rd disc. 24 hours of gameplay in 3 days of playing it.
Also, is it okay if I cried a couple times in the first disc? D:
A little about me: I play a lot of video games, mostly on my Xbox 360. I play machine dance games (In The Groove 2), and just recently went to a tournament. I'm 16, going to be 17 in a month ;D I'm pretty sensitive also...I'm known to take things too seriously Definite fan, I'll be checking back here every other day or so.

Welcome to the boards Version Beta! It's rare we see someone nowadays who's playing FF9 for the first time. It's good to hear people still get drawn to it though. You must get pretty emotional if you've been crying during the game...yet you didn't cry during the second disc? That had a lot of big, evil events that put the characters through a lot. Have fun playing the game, enjoy the boards and hopefully we might see some long-needed FF9 discussion around here! Oh, one last thing...Where did your name come from? What are you a beta version of?

vß just sounded cool I guess. Haha. I use it everywhere else. The other screen name I use a lot is F4LL3N. (Mainly my ITG name) aaronin.jp/boards/viewtopic.php?t=975&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=50690There's one of my posts. Also, judging by your post count, this forum has a lot to offer! Edit: I'm pretty sure I did, also. I just think about the situation too much. That's when I start to cry. Also, the emoticons are awesome. Especially the ban hammer one xD

I didn't cry. I knew that was coming by the time I played FF7 properly. I felt more sympathy for the FF9 characters...even Gizamaluke and the Antlion. Poor old Gizzy...he's such a misunderstood dragon.

It's the music that makes you cry. Seriously. Watch it on mute, and it doesn't have the same effect.

On the note with the thing with Aerith, try muting it and and play "On The Nature Of Daylight" by Max Richter in the background when it happens.
On second thought, don't.
