"It's a training battle or a spar, not a mock battle." Frato corrected his pupil. "Besides, if this is who I suspect it is, I think there's been enough fighting as it is."
As he entered the guest room, he spotted Killy and Jack sat together, but oddly no Firebrand with them. Huh, that black mage acts fast. It doesn't look like she's learned her lesson about playing cards with that sneaky moogle though. His eyes then fell on the redhead in question, and it seemed he'd caught her just in time as she was preparing to leave with Mortimmer. He was less pleased to see that the pair were arguing again.
"It seems you two still haven't learned how to actually work peacefully with each other yet." Frato interrupted them. "Firebrand, can you come with me for a moment? We have some dragon knights at the door asking for us. Mortimmer, please bear with us for now. Perhaps you can ask Killy about the secret of her hangover cure?"

Sir Frato's intervention caught the attention of the two and bolted them from their argument. The two almost seemed thankful for the interruption, whereas Firebrand noticeably brightened and hopped toward them.
"Ooo, Dragoon Knights!? Say no more, Teach! I'm there!"
While Mortimmer merely waved a hand and went back to gathering his equipment. "Just as well, I have much to do, much to do, mm-hmm, yes. Tell me how the weather is when you get back, yes?"
Frato and his student walked out and towards the entrance, where they opened the door to greet the Dragoons. As suspected from the hybrid, the twin Burmecians he had rescued awaited them. Sir Derek waved with a big childish smile on his face, his uniform surprisingly neat and tidy sans a large stain on the front that the hybrid smelled a hint of pastry.
"Hey Frato and company, how ya been?" The man greeted them all with a jaunty tone. "Heard you guys had a party last night, woulda been nice if you invited us. Oh hey, is that lovely pink damsel still there? If so, mind if I come in and say hello?"
"Brother, please. Control yourself." Lady Gabriel herself stood upright, her own uniform immaculate and pressed, as was her posture. "Good morning everyone. As to you Sir Frato. I hope you all slept well last night." Gone was her fierce demeaner the last two met as she greeted them warmly but without the smile that came with it. It was as tho yesterday's event has never happened, until she decided to bring it up herself. "I also wanted to see if Miss Daisy is healing well. I've bought her some potions and salves to help her recovery." The female Dragoon raised a hand bearing a basket with two potions and a jar of thick ointment. "May we come in? I wish to have a discussion with you and your students."

Seeing the pair immediately end their argument relieved the dragoon, and he was grateful that Mortimmer was still making preparations on gathering his equipment. After leading his students to the door, he wasn't surprised to see the two sibling knights waiting for him. He decided to ignore Derek's immediate desire to see Violet again.
"Good morning. Ah, that's kind of you." Frato replied brightly as he saw the healing items Gabriel had brought. "She's still sleeping soundly at the moment, but I'm sure those will help speed up her recovery. Oh, of course. Be my guest."
The hybrid then stood to one side and waved his hands inside to gesture that the pair could enter.

"Thank you..." Sir Frato's seemingly bright attitude and mocking short introduction, at least to Gabriel inwardly, put the female Dragoon on guard. Her eyebrows furrowed and stepped inside the manor as invited, where her brother took the invitation in stride. Once inside, Sir Derek can be seen looking around, for reasons already known, while Lady Gabriel walked in and stopped in the middle of the main room of the manor. Only a few servants were found, either standing at attention awaiting their orders or cleaning.
When the group of Burmecians stopped and faced each other, the red head was the first to break to ice.
"So excited to finally meet you two in person! My name's Firebrand, the most promising and favorite pupil of Sir Frato, and the white robed shyster next to me is Ditz, another pupil like me, heh heh." The woman proudly put her arms on her waist and puffed her chest. "You might have heard of me causing the most trouble for everyone in Minister Horace's place, I mean I was charmed but I was totally kicking ass over there, right? Right? That's just a sample of what I'm capable of! Once Teach sculpts me into a real Dragoon just like you guys, I'm gonna be a major player in Burmecia! Either of you wanna spar? OOO! Let's do two versus three, us verses you! There's a garden in the back of the manor that's make a perfect battleground!"
"Pleased to meet you, Ms. Brand. And no, thank you, that won't be necessary. I'm afraid I've come for a more pressing matter so I'll get straight to the point.." The glasses-wearing woman politely declined while holding up a hand, then she turned the red-head's mentor, her face turning a shade more serious. "So, Sir Frato, have you given last night's events any serious consideration? Particularly of your circumstances?"
Derek finally turned and looked at his twin with concern. "Sis, please, don't you think this has gone a little too far?"
"Too far? Or not far enough? I'm trying to save lives here, so please leave this to me...Sir Frato, your response?"

After how awkward their reunion had been, Gabriel's stern expression seemed justified to the dragoon. He closed the door after the two siblings had entered and followed them, feeling a little tense with the silence that had now descended. Ugh... now what? Just how can I ease the stifling atmosphere? Should I apologise for what I yelled at her last night? Do I mention that at all?
Before he could figure out his conundrum, Firebrand eagerly introduced herself. Listening to her excited chatter did not ease the hybrid's mood at all. Eh? What did she call Ditz!? Ah... you shouldn't really brag about your skills given you were charmed. I really don't think Gabriel wants to reminded of that nasty magic. Eh? No! Don't challenge them to a fight! You idiot!
Thankfully it seemed the female dragoon shared his opinion on the sparring match, but he then found that she was in no mood for light chatter. The topic had turned quickly to a tough question, and he paused for a moment before giving his answer.
"Lady Gabriel, whilst I appreciate your concern, I don't think turning away fighters is a wise move." Frato replied in a serious tone. "Carnicero may have lost a lot of their members through their own savagery and ruthlessness, they are still a considerable force. There is strength in numbers, and my allies are aware of just how dangerous this clan is. Besides, where is the honour in discarding them after all we've been through thus far?"

"I see. Well, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. If one travels in a group, you'd eventually grow feelings and bond with them." Lady Gabriel actually nodded approvingly towards the hybrid's answer without arguing. Until a moment later. As for Carnicero, whomever they lose, they will simply wave it away as picking off the weak. A terrible ploy they use but admittedly it has gained them some quality warriors they keep in their upper echelons. Which is why I was concerned enough to go through with what I've done. As for your companions, perhaps you can leave them compensation for their hard work so they can let bygones be bygones. I would be happy to pay them myself with the money me and my brother share in our account back home."
"Aw, I was gonna buy that pink goddess a pretty broach with it..." Derek's ears lowered as he whined.
"Hush you." The twin sister said to her brother. "And once I do, I would like to formally invite you into our own party."
Both Firebrand and Ditz lit up with surprise.
"Whoa, really!?" The red head student seemed to be the one most excited about the idea. "Me and Ditz too? We can join with you two?"
Lady Gabriel gave a warm smile to her. "Of course, that is why I have invited you two into this conversation. We've never met formally but I can tell you two show promise, especially if Sir Frato himself see it wise to keep you two for himself and train you personally. I sincerely mean it."
"But...is it really such a good idea to change things up like this?" The white mage seemed hesitant. "I mean, Sir Frato is right, we've traveled with the others so far and made a bond with them, granted it's not sturdy as I'd want. And to switch leadership from Sir Frato to you would abruptly.."
"Ah, then in that case, perhaps I can up the ante. If you all join us, we will allow Sir Frato to become the leader of our new group. In fact, I do not mind it in the slightest, for my trust and faith in him is as strong as our bond with our Goddess Burmece. Together, we can look for other members to join us, members who are rich in strength and wisdom just like us. Together, we shall have our vengeance against that hated clan and purge Gaia of a sinister boil once and for all. Think of it Sir Frato, fellow Burmecians working side by side, three Dragoons, Burmecia's highest ranking warriors! Surely you would agree that our combined might would grant us a far better boon against Carnicero then the ones that are currently under your employ. Doesn't a fresh new start entice you as well?"
The speech from the charismatic Dragoon got Frato's students actually thinking hard on the subject. Firebrand looked to her teacher with fire in her arms and shaking excitement in her body, her own expression already showing what her opinion is on the matter. Ditz on the other hand showed concern, it's hands folding together tightly in nervousness.
"Of course, I can't possibly expect an answer immediately, this is a serious decision to make, one that would require time to think it through. Perhaps you would like to go about your day as usual and ponder on it for a while longer?"
Everyone in the room awaited the hybrid Dragoon's next move.

Ah, at least she seems to approve my cameraderie with my friends. The dragoon nodded as he listened to Gabriel's response. Yeah, that does sound exactly like Carnicero. Yet strength can be cultivated, or else what is the point of training? They are just shooting themselves in the foot with this constant culling of their own forces. A mistake I will ensure they pay for. Oh, I'm sure Killy and Jack would approve of a nice paycheck, and it would be interesting to see that black mage respond to a chance to leave with a golden goodbye. No doubt she'd find something to whinge over. Still, I'm not sure about relying on Gabriel and Derek's finances. I would literally owe them.
"Save your gil Derek. You are not going to outspend Violet's husband when it comes to spoiling her, believe me." Frato told the lovestruck knight firmly.
He has half expecting an offer to team up with the sibling pair in place of his existing allies, since he doubted Gabriel just wanted him to leave his friends and just rely on his students to take down Carnicero. Frato's brow furrowed as he seriously considered the idea. He gave a quick glance to his students to see their reactions to the offer, and noticed the different emotions radiating from the pair.
"Thank you Lady Gabriel. That is certainly an intriguing offer." Frato smiled politely at the two siblings. "I believe I will take the time to mull this over properly before commiting to a decision. Is there anything else you wanted to discuss? I'm sure the servants here would be happy to make you a cup of tea or another drink if you'd like."

There was a tiny sliver of a smile forming on the female Dragoon's lips as she heard Sir Frato's answer. "I believe that response is the most I can hope for, I am pleased that'd you'd consider it. Please, take your time, I will not prod for the answer, but I will await your return to the subject.." Lady Gabriel raised her basket once more. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I wish to go and gain an audience with miss Daisy and give her my well wishes. Will you be coming, brother?"
Sir Derek merely grinned. "Ha ha, give me a moment to process Frato's earlier comment. It'll just mean I'll have to think of a gift that'll REALLY impress her."
"Hmph. You and your deviant insights. Suit yourself. I shall leave you all now, please talk to me if any of you wish for more details of our plans." The woman reconfigured her glasses in preparation with her next meeting and walked into the guest room where the rest of the hybrid's allies reside. Alone, Firebrand was the first once more to speak her mind.
"Holy crap, working with other Dragoons, are you kidding me?" She was practically squealing. "This is like a dream come true! How often do you get to see recruits going out with not one, not two, but THREE Dragoons! Teach! What's there to think about!? Let's accept it so we can start adventuring!"
The female recruit's reaction bought a chuckle from Sir Derek. "Heh, I'm glad to see you're so positive about it. Dunno if I myself can provide to be such a role model tho." Then he looked at the white mage, who looked down at the floor almost concerned. "What about you? You don't seem interested do you?"
"Huh? Oh, uh, no no it's not...well maybe.." Ditz fiddled with it's hands nervously. "Sorry but I'm kind of against it. It's just that...I don't know if it'll be right to just abandon our friends like that just for a better deal. We've known them all for quite some time, it's like leaving your family for a new one, you know?"
"Heh, a bit dramatic, but I can respect that. You guys can think about it some more, it's all good with me." Then the male Dragoon finally looked towards his other Dragoon compatriot and gave a apologetic bow of the head. "And uh, sorry about my sis's behavior last night. She can get a little...emotionally rough at times. But she wouldn't have gone so far as to kill or seriously harm that mole girl, honest! She's not a bad person. Gabe just, well, you know emotions are, you know? Ha ha...ah...yea."

Post by Robshi on May 6, 2024 16:28:07 GMT
Huh, she really does seem to be controlling her emotions around me. I get the feeling she's just being formal and treating this as official business. Still, she must know I am far from strict with this kind of thing. I hope she'd relax a little if we did join up with her. He then pulled a sour expression as it seemed Derek was still determined to woo Violet in some fashion. The dragoon kept his silence as Gabriel decided to check on Daisy, although he did feel some concern given what had happened the last time he'd seen the two women together.
Firebrand's excitement then interrupted his thoughts. You do realise one of the elite dragon knights is the idiot in front of you, right? I still can't believe the King granted him that honour. Surely he must have some good combat skills to make up for his dense nature. He then turned towards Derek, who's following words just reinforced his opinion about the nezumi's nature.
"Urgh, you just had to bring that up, didn't you?" Frato shook his head, looking a little frustrated. "Whatever her intention was, Daisy could easily have died had we not arrived when we did. Still, she wasn't the only one letting their emotions get the better of them. I might have been a bit hasty pinning all the blame on her in the moment. Besides, I don't think Lady Gabriel will appreciate you speaking for her. I'd rather hear her thoughts on the matter directly."
He heaved a sigh, before then glancing quickly around them and looking impatient. "Come on, let's head into the guest room. This is getting awkward." The hybrid then moved to leave the room and do just that.

"Heh heh heh.." All Sir Derek could do was give a nervous chuckle after the hybrid's retort. "Well, whatever her intention regardless, she wouldn't just kill the poor girl. I know it in my heart that Gabe isn't that kind of person. Even if she was or came close to it, Burmece forbid, I'll be there to stop it from happening, you can count on me. Heh heh. Buuuut yea, I guess it is right to hear it from her than me. Anyways, let's go to your place so we can find Viole-er I mean, Gabe and the rest." The Goofy Dragoon was the first to lead the way back inside.
There find find everyone mostly in their regular position, where as Lady Gabriel was standing right next to Daisy's bed. The mole herself have already wokened up and is sitting up with her hands on her lap. Despite the woman's good intentions, The two can be seen giving each other a deathly stare as if mentally applying a dangerous curse on each other.
"Morning. Sleep well?"
"I slept fine, you?"
"Never better."
"Good, how's that nasty cut I gave you on your cheek?"
"Already healed and forgotten. Not as bad as the wounds I gave you, I'm sure..." The two spoke with such awkward and harsh disengagement, one would think they were going to attack each other once more in any second. "That reminds me, I bought you this basket to help treat them. Take it."
"I don't need it, I have a white mage nearby."
"I insist."
"I refuse."
"Fine, your loss then."
"I suppose it is." The two ended the 'conversation' with a staring contest, each one waiting for the other to make the first move. Everyone in the room felt the hostility in the atmosphere and dared not interfere. Until Dr. Mortimmer finally noticed Firebrand standing near the doorway and he slowly crept tip toed over.
"Ah, there you are brute." He whispered so as not to disturb anyone. "Come on, we need to go uh...train those Gimme Cats, remember? Hmm? Yes?"
"Um..y-yes. You heard him Teach, duty calls. See you later and...good luck." The two left gracefully out the door, leaving Frato and his party stuck in a awkwardly silent room and potential powder keg.

As he entered the guest room, the dragoon felt a little chill down his spine as he quickly sensed the frosty reception between the two women. I was afraid something like this would happen. Burmece only knows what Daisy will do once I break the news about Gabriel's offer. His expression turned somewhat frantic as Mortimmer came over to depart with Firebrand.
"Eh? Hold on a second, don't go." Frato whispered pleadingly, before his ears fell flat as the door closed behind. No! Firebrand would've been a big help with restraining these two should they start fighting again! She's making a habit of ducking out of awkward exchanges! Growing irritated, he decided to step forward and try to settle the tensions between the pair.
"Look, can you two please stop this? I'm the one who's at fault here." Frato admitted. "Are we going to talk this out like adults or are you going to keep sulking at each other like kids?"

Firebrand could only give an apologetic look and make a silent 'sorry' with her muzzle before hastily exiting out the door and out of the manor with her rotund cohort. Meanwhile the two femme fatales continued to have their deadly stand off where neither of them even went so far as not to move a muscle. Then the hybrid decided to try to break the tension by calling on ladies maturity to win them over. And the Dragoon was awarded with a glare from both of them as they turned to him.
"We're not sulking! We're perfectly fine!" They both said in complete unison. The outburst was so sudden that it shook Ditz off it's feet and the poor student fled behind the guest room door. Now the white mage can only seen cautiously peaking out of the crease of the door.
Sir Derek was also caught off guard by the shouts but surprisingly he stood firm and even tried to take a step forward. "Heh, now now ladies, let's not do or any anything we might regret. Um. Hey Sis, since she doesn't want it, you can just leave it next to her bed as a parting gift. Okay? Anyways, didn't you say you wanted to discuss something with Miss Killy too? How about we go do that right now and let the kindly Daisy wake in peace, eh?"
Lady Gabriel continued the stare for a moment longer before finally blinking and relaxing her pose. "I suppose. There." The Dragoon left the basket down by the mole's bedside and proceeded to step away, but not before giving one final word. "I hope you feel better soon, Miss Daisy. Do take care of yourself."
"You do this same, Miss Gabriel.."
The two spoke with the same intensity as before but the Dragoon was the first time finally leave and head towards where Killy sat, who is now joined by her brother. Killy only gave the two an annoyed look. "Ugh, what do you two assholes want with me? You better not try to trade barbed words with me Dragoons, this is MY house and I will not be intimidated, I don't care who you are. It's bad enough that you almost caused a scene a moment ago, I should just kick your butts out for that.."
"Ha ha, sorry about that. Don't worry everything's okay now, see?" Derek tried to diffuse the situation by casually waving his hands happily while Gabriel sat down and laid her hands cautiously on the table. "See, I wanted...well WE wanted to ask you somethin if you don't mind..."
Meanwhile, Jack, who had been playing cards with the black mage earlier, silently got off the chair and left the table. The moogle then walked up to Sir Frato with a smirk. "Hey there Lady Killer, I see you're enjoying the kupo fruits of your labor." He couldn't help but chuckle. "Got any other surprises for us? Hopefully the next broad you bring in has a lighter temper. Also, thanks for the coffee, woulda been better sprinkled with some grated kupo nuts but beggars can't be choosers, right?"

Having the two ladies round on him made Frato flinch back from the sudden outburst. "How the hell is that being fine?!" He exclaimed after being startled.
Thankfully Derek decided to step in and try to calm the situation, which gave the hybrid a chance to try and regain his composure. These two are clearly wary of each other now. Urgh... Daisy really is not going to react well to this offer from Gabriel. I don't know how I should tell her about it. I have a feeling the conversation will end with several arrows embedded into me.
He then gave a curious look as the two siblings moved over to Killy to discuss something. What is she wanting from her? Surely Derek isn't interested in trying to fulfill the wish of Killy's parents, is he? A certain moogle then approached and he gave a wry smile.
"You know Jack, maybe you should ask the maids about that." Frato suggested. "They seem to serve coffee in this place in just about every way imaginable. It'll be fun to see if they thought about adding kupo nuts. Say, just how badly are you wanting to play in that card tournament in Treno?"

The little moogle's smile grew wider at the hybrid's question. "Oh ho ho, you've finally putting some serious thought into my idea, eh? I knew you'd come around sooner or later." Jack lightly punched Sir Frato's knee as a sign of comradery. "I'm tellin' ya Boss, you and me? We'd make a killing. You're the best card player here, before me of course. With your skills and my...deck handling techniques, we'll score all the way to the top!"
The little thief proceeded to bring out a deck of cards and give a very skillful trick where he shuffles the deck from one hand to the other from a considerable distance. "Like that? You'll see more when we get there. As for 'how badly' I want to go, hmmm, well betting brass to kupo nuts, I'd say it'd be a nice bit of adventure. I got some pals and playmates back when I last visited there I'd sure wouldn't mind seein, and the grand prize for the card tournament is enough to keep me from being sober for a year. So, are you interested in going there with me? If so, just try not to confuse your deck with my 'personal' deck, heh heh.."

Seeing Jack take his question as interest in his card playing adventure made the dragoon feel rather conflicted. Now that I'm actually bringing this up to these guys, I'm finding this a lot harder than I thought I would.
"Ah... that's not what I was implying. Wait, how am I best card player here? I've barely played the game!" Frato began awkwardly, before then questioning the moogle's flattery. He then lowered his voice, not really wanting Daisy to overhear. "Anyway, it's just that Gabriel has made an offer for her and brother to help fight Carnicero with me and my students. The problem is she wants to pay the rest of our party off for their work so far and leave them out of it. Although I'm worried we're gonna have hell break loose once Daisy hears about it."

Jack leaned in and listened with a long earful as his leader whispered the reason behind his question. The moogle was left speechless for a moment, but he began rubbing his chin with intrigue. "Oh hoooooo, very interesting Boss, very interesting. Can't say I wouldn't miss ya after all the kupo we went through tho, good times, good times. Hmmm...how much are they planning to pay?"
"We don't know yet, they haven't said." Ditz finally gathered up the courage to come out of hiding and leaned over to whisper like it's teacher. It seems like Lady Gabriel's the one pushing the idea. I don't know what the average salary for a Dragoon is but It must be high for Burmecia's most talented warrior, so they can probably afford a hefty sum, right?"
"Heh heh, indeed..." A greedy grin formed on the thief's lips. "Well...I guess they can buy my leave if the Boss doesn't mind. Don't let it say where my loyalty is, but a man's gotta eat, am I right? Buuuuut yea, I think I can guess what's going on, heh, very sneaky yet clever. And your worries are correct. If I were you and wanna protect the birthplace of your future children, I'd haul ass out of Cleyra the moment you accept the deal, change your name and appearance too while you're at it. Only way to be sure! I can think of a few good names for ya. How does Robshi sound, eh? Ha ha, just kidding, we both know that's a stupid name, lemme think a little more and I can get back to you on that.."

I should've figured the idea of a pay off would butter him up on the idea.
"Funny you would say that Ditz, given I seem to struggle to even keep gil in my pocket lately." Frato whispered with a grumble. "Although I suppose I've not really been back in Burmecia to be paid for a while. Anyway, I can't just run away from Daisy like that. She might think I've been kidnapped or something. I don't know how I'm going to tell her about this though. Also, I must admit I'm rather curious about just what Gabriel is asking Killy."
He gave a curious glance towards the black mage and the dragoon siblings, trying to see if he could overhear their conversation. Given Jack's reaction, I can see that this offer could be a ploy from Gabriel to take me for herself. Is she telling Killy about this payoff?

"Heh, better kidnapped than losing your manhood, Boss." Was the moogle's reply. "But yea, you got yourself in a sticky situation without a soap bar. Glad I ain't in your shoes. Say Boss, if you die with either lady killing you in a fit of jealous rage, can I have your Gil?"
Ditz gave a disapproving mumble. "Jack, I don't think that comment is necessary, even as a joke. Don't worry Sir. I'm sure you'll think of something. Hang in there."
Meantime, while trying to listen in on the conversation being held, Frato can see that the trio was having a noteworthy discussion judging by the serious expression on their faces, sans Sir Derek. What tidbits the hybrid can catch is barely audible even to one trained as he.
"I dunno...you're gonna have to talk to my folks yourselves and not me. Dunno why you two are asking me for help, you're Dragoons after all."
"Well, Cleyra and it's inhabitants don't see us as highly as our own people. We figure with a little help from your influence, their one and only daughter, we'd have a greater chance of success in our negotiations. If it'd entice you, perhaps we can offer you a small cut in return for your help?"
"Oh? You have my attention, how big a cut are we talking?.."
Before the hybrid can listen any further, he would feel a tap on his shoulder, coming from one of the manor's maids. "Pardon me, good sir, but you have several visitors outside our home expressing interest in an audience with you. Shall I relay a message to them?"

The dragoon frowned back at the moogle as he made his distasteful joke. You'd think someone who's supposed to be such a smooth talker would know when to keep their trap shut. Then again, after seeing his personal Triple Triad deck it's clear he has no shame.
His ears then lifted up as he caught some small tidbits of the conversation between Killy and Gabriel. Hrm? Is she wanting to use the influence of Killy's parents to convince more knights to help fight Carnicero? I didn't think Cleyra really had any military presence given they abhor violence.
He then turned as he felt tap on his shoulder. "Oh? It seems I'm quite the popular one today." Frato remarked. "I guess I'd better go and greet them. They didn't give their names did they?"
After hearing the maid's reply, the hybrid made his way towards the entrance to see for himself.

"I'm afraid they did not but the two said you'd know them as soon as you see them." The maid said, giving a frustrating response. "Apologies, it's the message they have given me to tell you should you ask that question." The maid bowed apologetically and left. While Frato left to greet his guests, Ditz made sure to follow closely behind while Jack went the opposite direction, hoping to find something to occupy his need for attention.
Upon opening the exit door and leaving the manor, the Dragoon would find that his 'visitors' happened to be none other than certain moogle standing atop of her lone trusty metal steed. She grinned down from her height with both hands on her hips in an arrogant pose, which her golem did the same. Her Bangaa compatriot is not seen around or nearby, suggested she came alone.
"Good morning you insignificant kupos! Gaze upon my lovely-ness and my beautiful maiden on this morning sun! Guess correctly what I'm here for, win a prize, heh heh." Renata seemed to be in a good mood, perhaps she slept particularly well last night. "So, were you able to help that miserable little brat down at the base? Don't answer, I already know you couldn't! She really is a hopeless case, isn't she? That's what you get for trying to tame such dirty creatures after all. Not at all like my lustrous clean beauty here..." The summoner took a moment to rub a hand on her golem's helm, looking it's it's shine like a mirror and admiring it.
