I always played FF9 with Quina in my team from when you can first recruit him/her. What I am wondering is, what main differences in dialogue are there through the Burmecia and Cleyra story arc without Quina in your team?
For instance, if you explore the North Gate entrance on the Burmecian side before entering Burmecia, a scene plays out where Freya reflects that she could've done what she wanted in the time before Fratley left Burmecia and what difference it may or may not have made. This thought path is inspired by Quina, so just what happens if Quina isn't in your party when you trigger this scene?
Has anyone managed to beat Gizamaluke without having Quina in their team? I could've done so myself but always preferred having Quina as comic relief and potential caterer.

It's hard, but completely possible. I totally skipped Quina one play through without realizing it. It takes a little grinding, but playing on an emulator with an uncapped framerate will let you breeze right through that.
