And a servant of Bahamut himself, along with a feisty young sidekick! Tho I'm sure a few people already knew this, but I didn't. Just thought I'd share an interesting story. screenrant.com/final-fantasy-characters-looked-completely-different/ (#3) Kinda glad it didn't go through tho, we all wouldn't be here if it'd happened. Maybe. Probably.

Was there any art of proto zidane or the canned black girl lead? The ffx age-plot sounded crazy too. They'd have to breed like zoidberg's race from futurama.
Edit: I was phone posting and didn't realize the article had links.

Wow, I didn't know that. Nice find with that article. It gave some interesting revelations as to what might have been for the Final Fantasy games. It would've been interesting to see Zidane as a dragoon with another dragoon main character, but I guess I'm happy we got Freya instead.

Oh, I've known about this for ages What the article doesn't mention is that FF9 was originally going to have a Job system where you could change character class much like you did in Final Fantasy V, as there's also concept art of Zidane dressed as a knight floating around (and looking more like Cloud from FF7). So while it's partially true, the article itself doesn't really reveal much about FF9's development cycle.
