Ewww, the watermain leading into our neighborhood got broke. So we have no running water for the next day or so . . . at least they gave us SOME bottled water free to make up for it. I still say we should get a discount for this month's water bill, though.

They're purging the drainage system just down the street from me. Apparently it became plugged with leaves and sticks and things. Now I have to drive four blocks out of the way to avoid the road block -.-

Oy, I remember when we lived in Brunswick, Maine. The drains used to get clogged with pine needles and stuff all the time! We were kids then, and had a great lot of fun finding ways to play in the flooded roads. =P I'd tie one of my toy tugboats to the rear axle of my older sister's bike, and watch it toss in the wake of her wheels . . . good times, good times. Not as fun as when the snowplow pushed loads of snow into our yard! We got to make a nifty snow trench, as I recall. It was freakin' sweet. Fun, too!

We've been having snow flurries throughout the day. Even though nothing's stuck to the ground or anything, it's still freaky to have snow falling here in April.

I can still remember one or two times in Virginia when we had hail as late as April or May. Maybe three times. Once it was so bad that the yard was covered in a layer of kidney-bean-shaped clear crystals of ice. I was probably ten or something when that happened, but I still remember it.

Hooray, wonderful news! I can continue working in Instructional Media over the summer as long as I'm enrolled in the summer semester! That's great, because I enjoy it, my salary is tax-free, and my physical condition wasn't going to be up to standing in front of a cash register, peering over it for eight hours a day. I love what I do and the people I work with, and my boss is just plain awesome. It's too bad I'm limited as a student worker to 19.5 hours a week! =P
EDIT: And 100 posts, woohoo!

So, yeah. It's official. I am the owner of a '91 Ford Tempo.
I hate its guage cluster. It only has speed, engine temp, and gas. No oil pressure, no battery meter, no tach.
And I need to fix a couple dents and a HUGE scratch on the trunklid, as well as a front quarter panel that needs to be buffed out to match the rest of the car color.
And skinny 185-wide tires.
Nyeh... At least it's something.

Good to hear, Mike! It may not be much, but it's still a set of wheels, and having that freedom is . . . uh. . . good. =P
Mel: Errr, what's the driving age in the UK? 18, I guess?
CapKitKat: Oh man, my little sister is the scariest driver EVER. It's not that she can't be a good driver; she is, sometimes. It's just that she has a very bad tendency to get very angry at the other drivers. Whereas I tend to keep an eye out for idiot drivers and avoid them, and take it easy, she seems to enjoy troubling idiot drivers (slowing down when someone tailgates her, etc) and getting mad at anyone who inconveniences her. =P

I've totally been wanting to get that. It's not online-only, is it? I'd much rather do it single-player, and I won't buy it unless it's got good single-player support.
