Due to an ever increasing number of complications with our current web host, the Realm of Eternal Rain will be switching over to Zerbebok Hosting. The reason behind this is because our current provider, Streamline, has been going rather downhill in recent years - poor customer service, overcharging of services that don't even work, outdated server software... the list is endless. We're hoping to have the site transferred over within the next week or two, so if the site does go down over the next few days, don't worry! We'll have the shrine back up and running on a brand spanking new host (and hopefully a better one) by then. I'd also like to use this announcement to convey some information regarding the shrine's future, so here goes: We are currently undergoing plans to work on Version 8 of the shrine. In addition to a better looking site with cleaner, up-to-date code, we're also changing the way artwork and stories will be added to and displayed on the shrine, so it won't be tedious work updating the site. And finally, we'll be adding a news blog, a twitter feed and (at long last!) the guestbook! We'll also be expanding on Freya's biography and the cities of Burmecia and Cleyra. If you'd like to submit to the Shrine with information about Freya, Burmecia or the Nezumi in general, please submit your works to declantribal (at) eternalrain (dot) org. The ETA is "when it's done" as ever, but we're confident that this will be the best version of the shrine yet. Stay tuned! - Declan Tribal Realm of Eternal Rain Webmaster

Oh my. Well I'm sure this will be for the better, I suppose. Any idea if we'll lose any data when the changes occur?

Good news. Hopefully It'll bring more people in and we can get together like before. Hope it works out dec. Will the old URL work or will we need a new web address?

No, yes, and no. Everything should be the way it was when the site gets moved. We're only changing servers, not content.

Quite a lot - they screwed up a few of my orders and gave my an SSL server with a -completely- different URL than this site, messed around with the server settings a lot, and were generally unhelpful. It didn't help that they were overcharging for services that I rarely used (or even hiked up the running costs every year or so), but the final straw was that they decided to switch to a completely outdated version of PHP on the secure server, breaking a lot of scripts and opening up a number of security loopholes. I've been with these guys for eight years, and they've really gone downhill a -lot- during that time. I mean, just take a look at the reviews customers have been leaving - www.reviewcentre.com/reviews66682.html
