I've been invited to a potluck-style birthday party this weekend, and was asked to bring a meat dish (chicken, specifically).
Any of you guys have a particularly favorite chicken recipe?

LMAO! You could try making a BBQ marinade and coat drumsticks in it...that would be nice ^^

-Slice chicken into strips and marinade in Italian dressing (not adding salt nor pepper).
-Proceed to grill or pan fry chicken for 20 minutes or so; grilling is much more preferable.
-You could also simmer the marinade to make sauce/gravy.
-Serve with whatever side tickles your fancy.

Bring a live chicken and slaughter it at the party. I guarantee that you will be nominated king.

Wound up buying a mess of small chicken breasts and marinaded them in Italian dressing over-night, then lightly boiled them for about 2 hours in the dressing.
It was well received.

If I didn't miss this by a couple months, I've worked in restaraunts for 6 years and cooked full-time for 2.
I made an AWESOME whole chicken once.
RECEPIE!!!!!
Take a whole frozen chicken, and put it in warm water until it's thawed from about an inch in (until the skin can be moved around. Then, take it out and rub it with celery salt, garlic and onion powders, a little bit of cajun seasoning, and herbs (oregano, parsley, whatever suits your fancy).
WHILE STILL HALF FROZEN (KEY!), cook it in a 325 degree (F) oven for a few hours until done.
ALSO KEY! BASTE IT EVERY 10 MINUTES! Keep it covered and moist, and turn it over at least once while cooking.
Even the breast meat was dripping as we bit into it. XD
