Well, it's not actually a completed burmy, but it's a skeleton for a mesh. If anyone knows of an existing model for 3ds max, LET ME KNOW!!! (hosted by YouTube) EDIT: ZOMG! no html! www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyWXPTgLKT4

You know, I do remember there being some program--glIntercept or something--that could capture vertex information from openGL-based renderings. Using an openGL-based emulator, you might be able to import something into Max to at least get a reference.
I have no idea how glIntercept works or even if it does, or even if that's the name of the program. It's not much to go on, I know, but maybe it's a start.

I'm sorry Wilson, but I have no idea what you're talking about. . .

Heh. Don't worry about it. I get that a lot. One of these days I might try hunting up that program to see if it really does anything.

wow thats awsome, you did it all from scratch?? Only way i can make animations is by using Poser 6..which is cheating slightly but its a helluva lotta fun for animating models like that :3 and you can import things into it! From 3dmax/lightwave etc i believe...great stuffs cant wait to see more!

Eee! Burmecian skeletons! *Insert Freya eep here*
Nice work. Now you just need a mesh and stuff so it actually looks like a Burmecian and not one of Lancer's undead army.
I want to try making an animated music video but I don't have any programs to try that sort of thing. It also sounds like a LOT of work.

Unfortunately, even if you start right this instant, making a coherent music video will take quite awhile. Although, if anyone can point me towards a burmy mesh, or perhaps a modeler willing to make one, I'd be forever in your debt.

Nice, Allen. The animation's very smooth and believable. Nice physics and secondary motion in the tail, too.
Did you choose to do standard human legs for ease of animation or just because you prefer the look? I was kind of hoping to see the complexities of the Burmecians' digitigrade legs. That was my only disappointment, though.

Actually, in the second animations (the ones with the door, instead of a mirror) the legs are slightly digitigrade, but it's hard to tell. 3DSMAX doesn't like having too many joints when walking <sigh>

Hmmm, that looks pretty good. I'm not sure but maybe if you could splice maybe a morrowind patch maybe for the skin? I don't know. I could ask around and see what I can get. It seems that maybe, in the not too distant future we could make Some videos I guess but it's early days. Nice thing there allen.
